First meeting of the year. We are happy to announce that the Jackson, Mississippi National Society of Black Engineer Junior chapter has been chartered. We are ready to help develop the next generation of engineers.

General Body Meeting
October 18, 2014.
At this meeting the middle school students learned about civil engineering and did a bridge building activity. The middle school students also learned the basics of programming by playing the peanut butter jelly game. The students had to think just like a computer and break the instructions down to the simplest form. The high school students played an ACT Math game and also learned the basics of computer programming and began to learn how to code.




General Body Meeting
January 24, 2015.
This meeting was all about physics. At this meeting the middle school students did an activity that taught them about Newtons laws, centripetal force, and potential and kinetic. The high school students built rockets and learned the physics aspect behind them.
